DESCRIPTION:

The course enables students to automate furniture design using a set of features dedicated to wood and panel processing. This course will teach you how to build a library of panels, frames, and connectors. SWOOD design makes furniture design automation possible via SWOOD smart assemblies (known as SWOODBox) that lets the user quickly create new designs with all the required manufacturing detail, by using simple drag and drop from your library.

  • SOLIDWORKS Essentials (SWOOD Design is a SolidWorks add-in and works in conjunction with the core SolidWorks toolset)

This course introduces fundamentals and best practices in SOLIDWORKS CAM. The goal is to build on the current knowledge of designers or engineers in generating, modifying and post process 2.5 axis milling tool paths used for machining parts.

SOLIDWORKS Routing: Electrical – Online

Routing – Electrical explains how to create, edit and manage Electrical routes, from the critical routing components and their design requirements to the sub-assemblies that contain the routes.

I recently completed the SWOOD training and am very satisfied with the experience. The training covered everything I needed to know, and the instructor delivered the material effectively. The sessions were well-structured, clear, and provided valuable insights into using the software. Overall, it was a very productive and helpful training.

I have gone through 7 years of post-graduate schooling and have yet been able to find a knowledgeable instructor that also possesses the ability to effectively transfer their knowledge onto their students. All this changed after this course. It takes a special instructor to be able to cover all the required material (as planned) and go beyond what is required to cover, all within the same time limit and not cutting corners. Excellent course, our instructor was eager to help us understand not only the mechanics of the SolidWorks program but also the ‘Design Intent’ behind modelling. He was able to demonstrate several methods of accessing features and stressed the importance of knowing where to look rather than simple memorization. Questions were answered with illustrative examples for concept both in the course material and beyond the ‘essentials’. I will look forward to taking another course for more advanced topics, especially with this instructor.
