PREREQUISITES:

  • Basic knowledge of coordinate measuring technology
  • Basic computer skills

DESCRIPTION:

In this training, you will get to know the complete process for creating and executing automation projects from scratch to the final mesh. During the hands-on exercises with different real parts at the measuring cell and offline, you will train by yourself with ease.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • Operate the ATOS/ZEISS ScanBox/GOM ScanCobot safely
  • Create a VMR project template from scratch
  • Measure objects automatically
  • Work with photogrammetry
    Optimize measurements

LENGTH:  2 Days

DESCRIPTION:

In this training Course, participants will learn how to create CAD models from 3D scans faster, more accurately and reliably than any other reverse-engineering software, create complex hybrid 3D models for solid, surface, and mesh, transfer directly to your CAD environment and create native files to accurately represent a scanned object with full design history.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • Introduction to the software and its user interface
  • Point and Polygon Editing
  • Alignment- Scan-to-Global, Scan-to-Scan, Scan-to-CAD
  • Sketching and Modeling from Mesh data
  • Accuracy Analyzer
  • Different R/E Modeling Techniques

DESCRIPTION:

In this training course, you will learn how to realize GD&T inspections in the GOM Software. This includes the creation of datum systems on geometrical elements as well as on freeform surfaces. During the training, you will learn to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge practically in the GOM software. You will evaluate different parts based on the respective design drawings. This way, you get to know the analysis options and the different computation methods in detail in the GOM software. During the last part of the training, you have the opportunity to ask specific questions or to bring along and discuss requirements and drawings.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • GD&T inspections and result visualization
  • Quick creation for GD&T checks
  • Applying alignment methods and datum systems
  • Working with material requirements
  • Handling of international standards (ASME, ISO)

LENGTH:  3 Days

DESCRIPTION:

In this training course, participants learn how to inspect 3D measuring data that was digitized with an ATOS system in the GOM software. The evaluation is either carried out in the GOM Inspect Professional software or in the ATOS Professional software. Participants perform inspection tasks of varying complexity and analyze, for example, the distances, diameters and angles of the measuring object.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • Introduction to the software, import of scan data
  • Simple inspection and parametric inspection
  • Measuring principles and element dependencies
  • Basic principles of alignments
  • Project templates and inspection planning
  • Trend analyses and statistic parameters
  • Reporting and data import and export

LENGTH:  8 Hours

DESCRIPTION:

This training course provides an introduction to the functionalities in GOM Inspect. It is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part (the exercises). The exercises allow you to put what you learned into practice, thus providing a hands-on training. During this eight-hour course, participants will learn how to inspect 3D measuring data that was digitized with an ATOS system on GOM software. The evaluation can either be performed in GOM Inspect Professional software or in ATOS Professional software.

Participants perform inspection tasks of varying complexity and analyze the results, including distances, diameters and angles.

TOPICS:

  • Introduction to the free software and its user interface
  • Data import
  • Simple inspection
  • Dimensional inspection
  • Reporting
  • Alignments

PREREQUISITES:

  •  Basic knowledge of coordinate measuring technology
  • Basic computer skills

AR & VR Training

Our AR & VR training courses are intended to give Engineering and Design Review Professionals the information and training needed for enhancing, enabling, and leveraging the digital assets of Augmented and Virtual Reality.

History to Present. Learn about the first headset announced in 1994 up to current consumer offerings and beyond. How the VR/AR technology is driving rapid change in data, computing, and industry.

While AR/VR has been teasing consumer and business world for the last two years and despite some of the optimistic claims by thought leaders, success of these new technologies is still in its infancy but set to explode.

Technology of the Head mounted display. HMD are key to VR success. Review the market leader offerings and discover what is right for your business or workflow.

Daydream Viewer, Cardboard, GearVR to name a few. These lightweight portable VR and AR devices are driving mass adoption. Learn about each ecosystems strengths and weaknesses.

Installed, immersive, interactive 3D visualization system that is the industry benchmark for group VR experience and review using rear projected active walls or cave.

Visionary Render software allows users to access and experience a real-time, interactive and immersive Virtual Reality (VR) environment created from huge 3D datasets. Geovisionary specialist software for high-resolution visualization of spatial data. GeoVisionary 3 has built upon this visualization ability to add analysis and interpretation of large and complex, multi-source datasets.

Areas of implementation – design, academia, training, marketing, maintenance, and manufacturing. The use of VR and AR in manufacturing and other industries for which the term Industry 4.0 gets used is not fiction. It happens as we speak and is poised to accelerate as the benefits become increasingly clear, offerings, hardware and applications mature and move to the next level and manufacturers increase their digital transformation efforts on the strategic and staged path towards the realization of Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation of manufacturing.

Henry Galbiatti, Vale’s general manager for iron ore exploration, closed mines and manganese planning, explained: “When I experienced GeoVisionary, I could see it was exactly what we were looking for. From our offices in Belo Horizonte, we constantly have new projects in the pipeline aimed at helping Vale to increase production, retain market share and maintain ore quality, so, naturally, long-term planning is crucial if we are to successfully bring our plans to fruition. The nature of our business is such that visualization of information is vital to help us understand it, to discuss plans and to make the right decisions.”

eDrawings Viewer delivers the premier 3D viewing tool for the non-CAD professionals. eDrawings Viewer enables anyone to quickly and easily view, print and review eDrawings, SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD DWG and DXF files. For users of the eDrawings mobile solutions Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) modes are available to further enhance the rich nature of your 3D data. AR for iOS and Android devices enable you to ‘virtually see’ your designs scaled correctly in its real world environment. VR is available for iOS phones using Google Cardboard to easily visualize and communicate product ideas.

VR station(s) will be live to show off technology and collaborative environments where colleagues working at remote locations using different VR hardware tools can review and discuss the same model in real-time.
